Plot	Excellent The story is extremely developed and thorough without being verbose. The conflict is explored, and characters are developed through both direct and indirect characterization.	Good The story is very developed and thorough without being verbose. The conflict is explored, and the characters are somewhat developed.	Fair The story is somewhat developed or rambling and verbose. The conflict is explored, and there is some development of the characters.	Poor The story is undeveloped or very poorly worded.
Setting	Excellent Use of setting is clear. Reader able to distinguish when a change of setting is present or has occurred.	Good Use of setting is somewhat clear, at times is difficult for reader to clearly identify setting.	Fair Use of setting is unclear, it is difficult for the reader to identify setting in the story.
