Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around.

Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow.
Subject Knowledge

Poor

Student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about subject.
Fair

Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only rudimentary questions.
Good

Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to elaborate.
Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) and connection to topic by answering all class questions with explanations and elaboration.
Graphics/Visual

Poor

Student uses disconnected graphics or no graphics
Fair

Student occasionally uses graphics/visual that rarely support text and presentation.
Good

Student's graphics relate to text and presentation.
Excellent

Student's graphics/visual explain and reinforce screen text and presentation.
Interaction

Poor

Student doesn't involve classmates and never looks up.
Fair

Student rarely involves classmates during the presentation and only makes a little eye contact.
Good

Student involves about half of classmates in discussion or a hands-on project. Makes some eye contact with class.
Excellent

Student engages many classmates in productive discussions or a hands-on activity. Makes good eye contact and listens carefully to questions or comments.
Preparation

Poor

In-class time not used to prepare. Student needed to be refocused.
Fair

Student did not work independently, and needed guidance or reminders to stay on task.
Good

Demonstrates that in class time was used well, but no time outside of class was put into preparation.
Excellent

Demonstrates time used wisely in and outside of class to prepare. Connection to material is clear.
