Identifying /explaining painting
25 %

Mauvais

Student mentioned neither the name of the painting nor the artist who painted it. Student did not explain anything beyond what is visibly apparent. Students made very little attempts (if any) to speak about any elements of the painting.
Pas Mal

Some effort was made to talk about the painting, but student failed to be more specific about it: not sharing a sufficient amount of info of why they were attracted to the work of art.
Bien

Good job explaining the work of art chosen. A couple of areas were a bit vague, and required some interpretation on the part of the listener, but overall all, thoughts were well conveyed.
Excellent

Student really showed they got into this project, because they really went into the details of the painting, and how they felt about it. Student may've even asked questions of the class to draw them further into the lesson. Great job!
Key descriptive words
25 %

Mauvais

Student pulled out very few (if any) keywords that helped to describe the painting and what means to them. Student only spoke about 1 to 3 elements of the painting, and very vaguely.
Pas Mal

A few words were used, but some of them were used superficially, and where therefore difficult for the student to incorporate into their presentation, without forcing them. Student spoke about 4 or 5 elements of the painting.
Bien

Student made a very good attempt at sharing multiple words that helped do describe the overall "theme" and feeling of the painting. A couple of moments where the listener may've had to do some interpreting, but overall, a good effort was made to show how the keywords complemented the subject of the painting.
Excellent

Student had an impressive list of words to describe the theme of the painting, and very little (if any) interpretation was required on the part of the listener. Talked about at least 6 elements of the painting. Great pride was taken to give a stellar presentation.
Pronunciation
25 %

Mauvais

Student made no attempt to make themselves understood. N o attention was paid to pronunciation.
Pas Mal

Student made a fair effort to have a decent accent, but many times the audience got lost, because the pronunciation was not there.
Bien

Student made a good attempt at sounding French, and even though there were a couple of instances where there may've been some misinterpretation, those instances were few and far between, and the audience was still able to follow.
Excellent

Student made an excellent attempt at having a genuine French accent, and even was very mindful of their intonation, as well as dictation and pacing! Bravo!
