Making Predictions
	Advanced 3 pts	Proficient 2 pts	Basic 1 pts
Prediction Able to make predictions based on an image.	Advanced Prediction is acceptable and based on details from the image.	Proficient Prediction is acceptable, but there are not details from the image to support the prediction.	Basic Student did not make a prediction or prediction was not based on details from the image.
Clarifying Able to make a clear prediction of what will happen in the story.	Advanced Is able to give at least 2 predictions of what they think will happen in the story.	Proficient Is able to give at least 1 prediction of what they think will happen in the story.	Basic Is not able to give a clear prediction of what will happen in the story.
Directions Able to write 2-4 sentences and draw an illustration of the character(s).	Advanced Student was able to follow all directions given for the second prediction.	Proficient Student was able to follow some of the directions given.	Basic Student was unable to follow any directions given.
Sentences Able to write 2-4 clear sentences	Advanced Student was able to write 2-4 sentences that give logical reasoning behind their choice. Within the sentences are details from the story.	Proficient Student was able to give 1 sentence that give logical reasoning behind their choice. Within the sentence is a detail from the story.	Basic Student was unable to write a prediction or give any logical reasoning.
