Waves Poster and Presentation Rubric 
The students will put together 3 posters to show during their oral presentation. The WAVES poster will contain examples of at least 5 of the 11 key terms learned (Transverse wave, Longitudinal wave, Crest, Trough, Compression, Rarefaction, Wavelength, Amplitude, Frequency, Electromagnetic Waves, Mechanical Waves).

The poster includes all information relevant to the topic in an organized fashion.
Good

Poster includes all relevant information; however, it is not well-organized.
Fair

Does not have all of the relevant information of the poster. There is not enough information presented. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion
Poor

The poster is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in information presented. There is at least 100 words more or less than the required amount.
Work quality/effort

Exceeds

The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.
Good

The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.
Fair

Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.
Poor

Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Group work

Exceeds

The group worked very well with each other and the presentation was shared equally among the group members.
Good

The group worked well with each other and communicated well. Some members participated slightly more than others
Fair

Group communicated relatively well with a few lapses in the presentation; some students dominated the presentation and others did not participate much
Poor

The group did not communicate well and there was considerable amount of disagreement. Not all students participated.
Presentation

Exceeds

The student presents the information clearly and displays a complete understanding of their information. It is evident that the student was well prepared.
Good

The student presents the information fairly clearly and displays a reasonable understanding of their information.
Fair

The information presented is not clearly displayed throughout the project
Poor

Not enough preparation was done for the presentation of the information, it therefore lacks many elements of what is expected.
