Writing Name	Accomplished Student can print his/her first name legibly with the capital letter as the beginning letter followed by lower case letters.	Developing The student can write most of their first name legibly with one error in distinction or error in capital vs. lower case distinction.	Needs Practice The student is not able to write his first name legibly with more than one error.
Use of spaces and capital letters	Accomplished Student can use proper capitalization in the beggining of sentences and uses spacing between words.	Developing Student can use some capitalization and some spacing between words.	Needs Practice The student in not able to capitalize the first word in the sentence and uses no spaces.
Proper letter formation	Accomplished The student can write letters in the right formation. From top to bottom of lines	Developing The student can write some letters with the correct formation.	Needs Practice The student is not able to write letters with correct formation.
Use sentence starter	Accomplished The student can use a sentence starter and read the sentence.	Developing The student can copy a sentence starter, but is not able reading the sentence correctly.	Needs Practice The student is not able to copy or read the sentence.
