excellent

Creative. Students had all the appropriate information displayed on a DISPLAY BOARD: title, 5 pictures at least 5x7 in size, 1page biography of artist, 1page of information on artistic genre, 5 french adjectives, and a bibliography. Board was organized and neat. Information was typed and all papers /pictures had boarders. Student effort is evident.
Good

Creative. Students' board was well organized. Student may have used a poster board rather than a display board. Students' displayed all the appropriate catagories. One or two catagories were slightly incomplete, but it did not hinder the viewer from understanding, learning from, or enjoying the display.
Fair

Display had fair organization. Neatness and effort could be improved. Two or three catagories were incomplete. Viewers comprehension and enjoyment of display were fairly hindered.
Poor

Display was sloppy. Material was not typed. 3 or more catagories were incomplete. Many of the guide lines were ignored. Student's did not put their best effort toward the project.
Biography

excellent

Biography was interesting and accurate, and student went beyond the basic facts of the author's life. Paper was almost error free. Spelling and punctuation did not effect comprehension. Students offered enough information to paint a vivid picture of the Artist's life. Students displayed a full page of information, single spaced and in a font no bigger than 16pt font, Times New Roman. Margins were no larger in 1" all the way around.
Good

Information and writing style was generally good and accurate. There was a few errors in spelling and puctuation; however, it did not greatly effect comprension. Length fell a bit short; however, students still provided an ample amount of information from which the reader was able to pull out valuable information.
Fair

Biography was noticably shorter that the expected length, i.e. half a page typed. Students may not have provided sufficient information; however, all the basics were there. Paper was typed; however, there were more than a few errors in grammar and spelling, and they effected comprehension. Effort could have been improved.
Poor

Paper was incomplete and was not typed. Information was inaccurate or insufficient to the reader's complete comprehension of the artist. Paper was littered with errors. Effort could have been improved.
Genre Information

excellent

Genre information is both accurate and well organized. Student explained why the studied artist fell under this genre of art. Paper was well written with few mistakes. Length was appropriate. It is an effective explaination of the genre. Students may have provide examples of other artists of the genre. Typed!
Good

Genre information was organized and accurate. Length was good. Student effort is evident. a Few grammatical/spelling errors; however, they not hindering the reader's comprehension. Students was able to successfully define and explain the genre of art being studied. typed.
Fair

Group presentation

excellent

Group effort and effectiveness is very evident! All members are very well versed in their area of studied. Students could elaborate on information with out reading it directly from the board. All group members spoke.
Good

Group worked well as a team. All members did their part and it is evident in their knowledge. Students are able to slightly elaborate about the are studied.
Fair

Group could explain only the basics of their project; however, they were not able to elaborate. One or two students did most of the talking. Group participation does not seem as evident. Effort as a team could be improved.
Poor

One students seems to have done as the work, this student is doing all of the talking. Project is poorly presented. Information is patchy and uninteresting. Group unity and presentation are lacking. Much to be improved.
