Students will create a poster to demonstrate knowledge of main idea and detail while using an expository text. Students will also be assessed on academic language usage.

Supporting Details	Basic The poster contains only 1 supporting detail, or the details included do not support the main idea.The handwriting is messy, making the poster difficult to read.	Profcient The poster contains 2 supporting details from the text but they may not be the most supportive evidence from the text The details are labeled but may be messy and difficult to read.	Comprehension The poster has 3 supporting details from the text. The supporting details are strong evidence of the main idea proving it true. The details are clearly defined with text specific information. The details are labeled and easy to see on the poster.
