Sewing Machine Basics 
This rubric will measure the abilities of students to thread a sewing machine and bobbin, use the sewing machine properly and complete a project that incorporates 5/8" seams, corners, pocket placement, pressing vs. ironing, turning seams, top stitching

Student started working after instructor prompting; Student behaviors kept others from working; Stayed on task 70% of the time; Work space was left with trash, thread, fabric scraps, equipment, etc. Student cleaned up 6+ minutes before class was dismissed or after class dismissal
