	Excellent 25 pts	Great 22 pts	Good 20 pts	Poor 17 pts
Correct Format	Excellent Letter will have both a heading, a greeting, proper punctuation, indentations in correct spot, single spaced and a sign off with space for signature and (SASE) underneath	Great Letter will have an address and a date as well as a greeting, a sign off, but incorrect spacing, punctuation, and/or indentions	Good Letter will have a greeting and closing using some sort of punctuation. It is not formatted as a professional letter but rather as a friendly letter	Poor Letter is not close to the correct format
Professional Language	Excellent Professional letter using complete words, sentences, proper punctuation and spelling. Written in a formal yet friendly query letter style	Great Letter is professional but the sentences are not written in complete sentences or are written as run ons	Good Letter will be professional. Use of abbreviations instead of writing out complete words or sentences.
