Poem Poetry Project Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. Word Choice	Beyond Grade Level The word choice is interesting and inventive. The words used help the reader understand the importance the author feels about the topic.	Grade Level The word choice is interesting and shows how the author feels about the topic.	Approaching Grade Level The word choice is plain and/or does not show how the author feels about the topic.	Needs Improvement There are no interesting words or the word choice shows that the author clearly does not care about the topic.
