Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. The student will type their poem and paste it onto a piece of construction paper. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.
