	Needs Work 10 pts	Good Job 20 pts
Grammer and Spelling	Needs Work Contains repeated spelling and grammatical errors including punctuation and capitalization.	Good Job Contains a few grammatical errors, some repeated, including spelling, capitalization and punctuation. (points not deducted for errors not identified by google docs).
Fantasy Elements	Needs Work Does not contain any fantasy elements. Story appears realistic.	Good Job Contains some fantasy elements including any of the following: Magical items or creatures, made up lands/locations, talking animals, general use of magic and transportation through time and/or space.
Balance of Fantasy and Realistic	Needs Work Story has no fantasy or no realistic elements.	Good Job Story has both fantasy and realistic elements.
Main Character	Needs Work The main character shows few realistic character traits and/or is not relatable.	Good Job Main character has a couple good character traits, is relatable and has a few good interactions with other characters.
Format	Needs Work The story is less than 1 page and/or is not typed in 12 point font that is easily read.	Good Job Story is at least one page typed in a 12point font.
