Movie Poster Book Report

After you have read your book, pretend it has been made into a movie. Create a poster advertising your movie. Be sure to include the setting and main characters. (YOU CANNOT COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IF YOUR BOOK HAS ALREADY BEEN ADAPTED TO A MOVIE.)

Title and Author	Excellent Title of book and author are included. The title and author are easy to read and letter is clear. All words are spelled correctly.	Good Title and author names are easy to read. One word is misspelled.	Fair Title is not easy to read, OR author's name is missing OR lettering is unclear, OR two words are misspelled.	Poor Title of book is missing OR lettering is messy, OR three or more misspelled words.
Advertising Headline	Excellent Text is persuasive and imaginative. Letting is creative and words are easy to read.	Good Text is easy to read and clearly advertises the book.	Fair Text is present on the poster but not clear or easy to read.	Poor Text is present but does not advertise and/or it is difficult to read.
Creativity	Excellent Poster is colorful and attractive with clear, bold lettering and careful details on the illustration.	Good Poster is colorful with bold lettering and a few details in the illustration.	Fair Poster is partially colored with a few details in the illustration.	Poor Poster is not colored. Little or no effort has been made to add detail to the illustration.
Cast	Excellent Every important character is explain and an appropriate actor has been chosen to portray him or her. Illustration of scene	Excellent Illustration is appropriate to the setting and engages the reader to want to see the movie.	Good Illustration is appropriate, but is vague and leave the reader wondering about the setting.	Fair Illustration is not appropriate to the book and does not appropriately represent what the book is about.	Poor Did not include an illustration.
Neatness	Excellent Poster has had careful planning, design, and has been presented neatly. Quality is present.	Good Planning of the poster is obvious but final product is only semi-neat.	Fair Student did not consider the neatness of the project. Neatness was not a factor.	Poor Product shows no real effort.
