	Excellent 4 pts	Good 3 pts	Satisfactory 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Front Cover New cover design	Excellent Cover displays ALL accurate Cover information- title & author. Illustration "fits" the book.	Good Cover displays accurate information- title & author- with one piece perhaps missing. Illustration still "fits" the book.	Satisfactory Cover has an illustration that "fits" the book, but is missing vital information that is generally displayed on a cover.	Poor Cover shows NO thought or connection to the book.
Back cover Synopsis/Summary	Excellent Student provided a well thought out synopsis/summary withOUT giving away the ending. At least5-6 sentences with accurate information from the story.	Good Student provides a somewhat thought out synopsis/summary still withOUT giving away the ending. Only 3-4 sentences with mostly accurate information from the story.	Satisfactory Student provides a synopsis/summary with INaccurate information, gives away the ending, and writes 2 or less sentences.	Poor Student provides a 1 sentence synopsis/summary. Very little thought and/or INsccurate information.
Directions Student followed all directions.	Excellent Book Jacket has ALL components AND in the CORRECT place.	Good Book Jacket has ALL components BUT not all in the correct place	Satisfactory Book Jacket contains only HALF the required components in the correct place.	Poor Book Jacket contains HALF the component OR less BUT they are not in the correct place.

Title, Author, Illustrator, Copyright Date, Publishing Company and Place of Publication	Good Student provided Most items found on a title page- Missing 2 pieces.
