Persuasive Speech 
Students will research, organise, and deliver a speech dealing with an approved topic; performance will be evaluated in terms of the specific standards set herein, including the main areas of ORGANISATION, DELIVERY, and RESEARCH. TIME LIMIT: 5-7 minutes

Excellent posture with no swaying. Gestures are smooth and appropriate. There is no fidgeting. The speaker appears completely at ease.

Speaker usually maintains good posture, but may sway or lean on the podium. Slight fidgeting, but speaker appears mostly at ease.

Leaning on podium, fidgeting. There was very little gesturing and/or movement (statue-like), or else too much to seem believable and/or appropriate.
Poor

Nonverbals clue audience in on nervousness...in a big way.
