1. After being read to the student will presented with some pictorial representations of characters/items in a story. She/he will asked to choose the correct picture that best represents a item or character in the story.	Needs Improvement Student does not participate, shows no interest or makes no attempt to complete task.	Developing Involved in activities, but needs physical and verbal prompting to continue. When prompting is discontinued participation stops or student chooses all incorrect pictures.	Proficient Student needs verbal prompting to complete task, but completes task by selecting 3 out 5 pictures correctly.	Mastery Student completes task with little or no assistance. Student shows a determination to get work done. Student chooses correct picture with some minimal prompting.	SCORE
