Title	Keep Trying! The student did not include a title.	Good Effort! The title was not appropriate for the story. The title was not written using capital letters.	You've Got The Hang Of It! The title was not appropriate or the student did not use capital letters.	You Are On Your Way! The title was appropriate for the story. It was capitalized and placed at the top of the story.
Paragraph form	Keep Trying! The student did not space title and body of paragraph correctly. There was no indentation.	Good Effort! The student did use one indentation but did not use the margins correctly for flowing form.	You've Got The Hang Of It! The student did use indentation, but paragraph is still lacking good form.	You Are On Your Way! The paragraph was indented and the student used good paragraph formation by utilizing both margins of the paper.
Sentence structure	Keep Trying! The student used poor sentence structure.	Good Effort! The student used a few good sentences in the paragraph.	You've Got The Hang Of It! The student used good sentences throughout most of the paragraph.	You Are On Your Way! All sentences were structured correctly. The student used some simple and some compound sentences.
Main idea/topic sentence	Keep Trying! The student did not have a topic sentence or main idea in the paragraph.	Good Effort! The student had a main idea or topic sentence stated but some of the details did not support the topic.	You've Got The Hang Of It! The student used a good topic sentence and most sentences supported the main idea.	You Are On Your Way! The student used a good topic sentence and all sentences supported the main idea.
Capitalization and punctuation	Keep Trying! The student did not use any capitalization or punctuation skills.	Good Effort! The student used capitalization for some sentences. If proper nouns were used, some of them were capitalized.	You've Got The Hang Of It! The student used correct capitalization and punctuation for most of the paragraph.	You Are On Your Way!
