Music-Tone	Excellent Tone is clear and supported all of the time. Notes are on pitch.	Good Tone is clear and supported most of the time. Notes are on pitch	Fair Tone is sometimes clear and supported. Notes are sometimes on pitch.	Poor Tone is generally unsupported and there is little evidence of ability to match pitch.	Non Existent No support whatsoever and unable to match pitch.
Music-Memorization	Excellent The entire song is memorized and the singer is confident.	Good The song is partially memorized, but the singer is somewhat unsure.	Fair The song is clearly not memorized, the singer forgets and starts again.	Poor Singer has to hold music and/or sing with a vocal track.	Non Existent Singer did not prepare a song.
Music- Rhythm	Excellent Rhythm is correct throughout the song and tempo is correct	Good Rhythm and tempo is mostly correct.	Fair Some problems with rhythm and/or tempo.	Poor Singer is either too fast or too slow for the rhythm of the song.	Non Existent Song is a cappella.
Music- Expression	Excellent Performance is very expressive and portrays the feeling of the song.	Good Performance is somewhat expressive and sometimes portrays the feeling of the song.	Fair Performance is fine, but lacks feeling.	Poor Performance has little expression and singer does not seem to be aware of meaning of the song.	Non Existent Song lacks any expression or feeling.
Acting- Character	Excellent Character is well developed and evident.	Good Character is somewhat developed but student may go in and out of character.	Fair Character may not be developed, but it is evident that the student is trying.	Poor Character is not developed and student lacks understanding of the character.	Non Existent No character is present at all.
Audition- Preparation	Excellent All audition materials and song/ monologue were well prepared in advance.	Good Song/ monologue are prepared but audition materials are missing.	Fair Audition materials may be missing and song/monologue are not well prepared.	Poor Not well prepared.	Non Existent Un prepared.
