The facts are incorrect, wrong, not properly sourced or undeveloped. The facts may be confusing or inappropriate for the story and news broadcast. The broadcast is too short in time length.
Developing

Attempts to develop the facts, but are not clearly described or sourced. The broadcast is around 5 minutes in time length.
Proficient

Clearly and accurately develops facts. Information is clearly described. The broadcast is 6 to 7 minutes in time length.
Advanced

Story is developed in a way that shows skill and mastery beyond expectations. The broadcast is 8 to 10 minutes in time length.
Editing

Beginning

There are major errors in editing and mechanics. Production and script are poor. The script is not submitted.
Developing

There are some errors in editing and mechanics. Production and script are adequate. A completed script with some errors is submitted.
Proficient

Minimal errors in editing and mechanics. Production and script are complete and show creativity. A completed script (who says what, actions, etc. preferably typed) with few errors is submitted the day before or the morning of the presentation.
Advanced
