The ABCs of Russia
Beginning with letter A, and ending with Z, students will list 2 words per letter relative to our study of Russia. The words may be nouns, proper or common; new terms, words that were previously unfamiliar to them; or "Russian" terms or phrases. They will add or create an illustration for one term per letter. The data will be compiled in booklet form. They will have 1 page per letter. Each page will consist of: 1)the letter, top & center of page; 2)two words that start with that letter, along with a brief description or definition of each; 3) one illustration of the word of their choice. The teacher will provide materials necessary for creating the booklets: paper, construction and plain; staples, stapler, or whatever is needed in putting the books together; crayons; markers; colored pencils; magazines; rulers; glue and/or glue sticks; tape; etc. Research material will be available for use in the classroom, along with a project sample for viewing.
