Daily Behavior/Participation Grading Rubric Daily Behavior/Participation Grading Rubric A student can earn from 0-20 points per class, based on his/her behavior during class. A student's Daily Participation/Behavior Grade is contingent upon how the student chooses to contribute to in-class lectures, discussions, and the overall classroom environment. This daily grade was engineered to ensure that each student is receiving the most out of his/her time in German I, while also enabling parents/guardians to remain informed of their student's behavior in the classroom. Respects Others Student is mindful of others working during class, asks questions politely interacts with others appropriately.	1 point Does not show respect for other students or teacher.	3 points Student was respectful most of class, to students and teacher.	5 points Student demonstrated respect to oneself and others during classt.
Does Not Disrupt Student is not on task and is disrupting others students from being on task, and prevents teacher from delivering lecture.	1 point Student disrupts others by talking out, gesturing or being off task 3 or more times in a class period. Disrupts learning environment.	3 points Student disrupts others by talking out, gesturing or being off task 1-2 times in a class period. Disrupts learning environment. (asking your neighbor for help does not count as a disruption of others).	5 points Does not disrupt others during the class period.
Completes Assigned Work/Tasks In class, and homework is completed.	1 point Rarely or never completes tasks or projects assigned.	3 points Attempts to complete assignments to the best of ability.	5 points Remains on task and completes assignments within the period.
Participation (listens & answers) Student is actively engaged in class	1 point Student is off task and does not participate or contribute in class.	3 points Participates or contributes some of the time.	5 points Participates and contributes in class.
