Class Participation Grade Class Participation Grade Your class participation will be graded weekly out of a total of 20 points. You can earn a possible 1 point per day per class participation section for a total of 4 points per day. Rubric Code: LX375B5 By mkmcneill Ready to use Public Rubric Subject: Science Type: Attendance Grade Levels: K-5, 6-8

Class Participation
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts	Perfect 5 pts
Attendance	Poor Unexcused absence or unexcused late.	Fair	Good	Excellent	Perfect Perfect attendance for the week (excused absences/lates do not count against your grade).
Preparation	Poor Did not have any materials needed for class on any of the days of the all week.	Fair Only had all of materials needed for class one or two days of the week.	Good Only had all of the materials needed for class three days of the week.	Excellent Only had all of the materials needed for class four days of the week.	Perfect Had all materials needed for class for the entire week.
Engagement	Poor Student was not engaged in any lessons, did not complete class work for the week, did not participate in group work at all.	Fair	Good Student did just enough to complete work throughout the week. Answered and asked questions when prompted. Not all classwork was completed in a timely manner.	Excellent	Perfect Student was engaged completely during every period during the week. Student answered and asked questions, worked well during group work, completed all class work to the best of his/her ability.
Behavior	Poor Behavior did not follow College Achieve's standards for scholars. Parent contact needed.	Fair Behavior was not up to College Achieve's standards. Student was disrespectful to teacher, peers or self for a majority of the week.	Good Student needed to be redirected several times throughout the week and was not always respectful to teacher, students or self during the week.	Excellent Student had minimal issues and only needed to be redirected by the teacher a few times throughout the week. Student was respectful to teacher, students and self.	Perfect College Achieve Standard Behavior!
