Brief description of book on BACK. On the Back, students are to write a brief description of the book using their own words.	Outstanding An outstanding description will make me want to read this book. Two or three great sentences that tell me what this book is about.	Good A good description will be one or two sentences. They will generally describe the subject of the book.	Satisfactory A satisfactory description will be one sentence. I will not know or understand what the book is about.	No Directions Followed The description is not written in a complete sentence. No effort is evident.
Illustration An illustration from the book must be on the front of the bookmark.	Outstanding An outstanding illustration would be done in color and effort will be unquestionable. The picture represents the main idea of the book.	Good A good illustration will be in color. Effort is evident and it generally represents the main idea of the book.	Satisfactory This illustaration could have been done better and could have shown more effort. It is either not in color or does not represent the book.
