Self Portrait Self Critique

Write a short essay about your experience with the Photoshop Self Portrait. Answer all of these questions in your essay: Explain how you chose the visual clues to your personality. What significance or story do you have about these choices? Tell something about the photo selection that you started with. Why did you choose this one? What kinds of challenges did you have in creating your own artwork and getting it to look like the picture you had in your mind. What Photoshop tools worked well for you. What is your opinion of the final work? Do you think you learned some new techniques when you got fully involved in the process. What was that? If not, what do you still need to learn to get better results? What is your favorite part of this work? Is there anything else you would like to say about the process? or about the Photoshop techniques you used.

The visual clues are pretty clear.	Good Engaging and informative visual imagery. The artist did a good job of telling some story about their life through art styles and visual vocabulary.
Art Production Qualities	Poor There is some basic artwork that seems to be sloppy or poorly executed.	Fair The artwork is appropriate and shows a moderate degree of skill	Good The artwork is well executed. Photoshop tools and effects were used effectively to advance the storyline.
Design Principles	Poor This does not show any evidence of any knowledge of the standards for good design.	Fair The composition is pretty well balanced, colors, rhythm, texture, and symbolic imagery are appropriately applied.	Good Colors work well together. rhythm, texture, and shape. The composition directs the eye, the elements are all well applied towards the goal.
