The student writes a report on a book of their choosing and writes a report that includes what the book was about, what they learned or found interesting and how the book will influence them in their teaching career.

Content of Report Report contains title, authors name,type of book,main topic and summary of the book.	Outstanding The report covers all of the necessary content in detail. Has all 5 required elements.	Average The report covers most of the necessary content in detail. Has only 4 of the required elements.	Needs Improvement The report does not cover all of the necessary material. Has 3 or less of the required elements.
Organization of Report The report is written in a logical sequence.	Outstanding The report follows a very logical path. It flows well together and is extremely well-written.	Average The report follows somewhat of a logical path. It jumps around a little bit, though.	Needs Improvement The report jumps around a lot and is hard to follow.
Conventions of Report	Outstanding The report has very few minor errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling, or no errors at all.	Average The report has few minor errors in grammar, punctuation, or spelling.	Needs Improvement The report has many errors in grammar, punctuation, and/or spelling.
Opinion	Outstanding An opinion of the book is given with strong reasons/ support.	Average An opinion of the book is given with weak reasons.	Needs Improvement An opinion is given without reasons.
