Level 1: Beginner
Utilize visually supportive technology tools to organize, demonstrate, and illustrate writing ideas. Use of pictures and native language in places of words is acceptable.
Level 2: Early Intermediate
Using visually supportive technology tools to illustrate writing ideas and express simple spoken or written sentences. Use of pictures or native language to express ideas.
Level 3: Intermediate
Use a graphic organizer with a main idea and four supporting circles to organize writing topic. Some use of native language is acceptable.
Level 4: Advanced
Use an outline to struture writing ideas. Begin with a main idea and include supporting details for atleast five paragraphs. Use of native language is acceptable five or less times.
Level 5: Fluent English Proficient
Develop a clear purpose by organizing an outline that includes a main ideas and supporting details. Make sure outline is well-developed, clear, and focused on the topic. No use of native language.
Narrative Organization
Level 1: Beginner
Student is able to write a short paragraph that contains some supporting details (2) or more using technology to express their basic ideas.
Level 2: Early Intermediate
Student is able to write four short paragraphs containing four supporting details about topic.
Level 3: Intermediate
Student is able to develop a clearly written paper with four or more paragraphs with five or more supporting details.
Level 4: Advanced
Student is able to develop a clearly and developed paper with four or more paragraphs and eight or more supporting details.
Level 5: Fluent English Proficient
Student is able to develop a clear purpose with many supporting deatils and appropriate word choice in order to get their point across clear.
Grammar/ Spelling
Level 1: Beginner
Student has a significant amount of spelling and grammar errors in their final draft.
Level 2: Early Intermediate
Student has 15 or less grammar and spelling errors in their final draft.
Level 3: Intermediate
Student has 10 or less spelling and grammar errors in their final draft.
Level 4: Advanced
Student has 5 or lesson spelling and grammar errors in their final draft.
Level 5: Fluent English Proficient
Student has few to no grammar and spelling errors in their final draft.
Review/ Revise/ Edit
Level 1: Beginner
Student is able to consult print media to show organization of paper and content.
Level 2: Early Intermediate
Student is able to review writing for meaning with teachers help.
Level 3: Intermediate
Student is able to review writing for clarity and meaning with teacher's help.
Level 4: Advanced
Student is able to revise, review, and edit material for clarity and meaning with little help.
Level 5: Fluent English Proficient
Student is able to revise, review, and edit material for clarity and meaning on their own.

Student uses native languge and simple phrases.

Students is able to use some common verbs, nouns, and high frequency words with some native language use.

Student is able to use a varied word choice and expanded vocabulary with little native language use.

Student is able to use a varied word choice and grade level expanded vocabulary with no nativ language use.
Level 5: Fluent English Proficient
Student is able to use an expanded, complex vocabulary.
Oral Presentation
Level 1: Beginner
Student is able to share simple phrases with the class.
Level 2: Early Intermediate
Student is able to share simple sentences that support the main idea.
Level 3: Intermediate
Student is able to share their paper using visual aides to help.
Level 4: Advanced
Student is able to share their paper with little help from visual aides or the teacher.
Level 5: Fluent English Proficient
