	Inadequate 5 pts	Emerging 10 pts	Mastery 15 pts
Inquiry	Inadequate Asked no clarifying questions; Student does not demonstrate curiosity about the PBL or possible solutions in addressing the problem.	Emerging Student engages in the process but demonstrates minimum curiosity or interest, and asks questions only if prompted to do so.	Mastery Questions asked are exceptionally perceptive and significantly aid the PBL process; Student demonstrates genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for the PBL process.
Research & Persuasion	Inadequate Does not demonstrate any skills and does not try to complete work. No effort.	Emerging Demonstrates partial knowledge of research and persuasion, but some of the findings are inconsistent or underdeveloped.	Mastery Excels in demonstrating knowledge through effective synthesis and argumentation skills. Explanations for findings is also provided and explained correctly.
