Organization .	Insufficient Not enough writing or clear enough writing to assess the organization.	Needs Practice Some unclear structure can be seen to the story and presentation of information.	Good Student followed some of the instructions and shows clear structure to their story if applicable.	Very Good Student followed the instructions and shows clear structure to their text and story if applicable.	Excellent Student followed all instructions and wrote in paragraphs. There is a clear beginning middle and end to the structure of story if applicable.
Grammar & Orthography Orthography = Spelling, capitalization & punctuation	Insufficient Not enough writing or clear enough writing to assess the grammar and orthography.	Needs Practice Student has many grammatical and/or orthographic mistakes The text is unclear and effects understanding of the text.	Good There are some grammatical or orthographic mistakes, but this only slightly effects the clarity of text.	Very Good There are few grammatical or orthographic mistakes.
