Conclusion reviews information presented, restates the thesis, and ends with an opinion on
the subject matter.
Good

Conclusion fails to do ONE of the following: review main points, restate thesis, or end with an opinion.
OK

Conclusion fails to do TWO of the following: review main points, restate thesis, or end with an opinion.
Poor

Speech ends without an official conclusion.
Stage Presence

Excellent

Student speaks with a strong voice, maintains eye contact with audience, gestures natually, and shows preparedness.
Good

Student fails to either speak with a strong voice, maintain eye contact, or use natural gestures.
OK

Student struggles with stage presence in TWO or more areas.
Poor

Student is obviously unprepared or "winging" it.
