Use of Math	Does Not Meet Expectations The student provides no example of the use of math during summer vacation.	Approching Expectations The student provides 1 example of using math this summer. However the evidence to support thinking is not strong and maybe irrelevant. Calculations are attempted but are in correct.	Meets Expectations The student provides 1 example of using math this summer. Provides evidence to support thinking. Calculations are correct.	Exceeds Expectations The student provides 1 detailed example of using math this summer. Provides specific and detailed evidence to support thinking. Calculations are correct and easy to read.
Grammar/Spelling	Does Not Meet Expectations Has more than 4 errors and readability of the piece is affected by the errors.	Approching Expectations Has 3-4 errors in spelling/grammar. Includes incomplete sentences.	Meets Expectations Has 1-2 errors in spelling/grammar. All sentences are complete sentences.	Exceeds Expectations Free of spelling/grammar errors. All sentences are complete sentences
Illustration	Does Not Meet Expectations There is no correlation between student's sentences and illustration.
