IMOVIE Project Newton's Laws

Students will use IMOVIE to explain Newton's First, Second and Third Laws of Motion. Including information on linear motion, acceleration, friction and net force.

Content	Excellent All content and images are relevant and presented in a logical order which makes it easily understandable. IMOVIE explains the main concepts of Newton's Laws of Motions. as well as provides clear examples , with explanations, and supporting information.	Good Most content and images are relevant and presented in a logical order which makes it easily understandable. IMOVIE explains the main concepts of Newton's Laws of Motion with examples of the Laws in action	Fair Content and images lack relevance and tends to jump around making it very difficult to follow. IMOVIE attempts to explain the main concepts of Newton's Laws of Motion but does not include supporting information or examples.	Poor Content and/or images do not apply to the overall project and is presented in a manner which the audience cannot follow.
Examples	Excellent IMOVIE includes 3 or move examples for each of Newton's Three Laws of Motion with supporting explanations.	Good IMOVIE includes 2 examples for each of Newton's Three Laws of Motion with supporting explanations.	Fair IMOVIE includes 1 example for each of Newton's Three Laws of Motion with supporting explanations.	Poor IMOVIE does not include examples of Newton's Laws of Motion.
Use of IMOVIE	Excellent IMOVIE is used correctly and effectively. Students are able to splice video and use proper effects so as to not take away from the information conveyed. Graphics are relevant to the chosen topic and use academic language.	Good IMOVIE is used correctly. Students are able to create a basic production. Graphics are somewhat relevant and the audience is able to follow along and understand the movie with little trouble.	Fair IMOVIE is not used very well. Graphics are not relevant and transitions and editing make the video very hard to understand or follow.	Poor IMOVIE cannot be followed. Graphics are not relevant to the topic making it so that the audience cannot understand what the creator was trying to convey.
Sound and Presentation	Excellent Sound and presentation of cinematography is clear for the entire movie. There were unique transitions that made the movie exciting.	Good Sound and presentation of cinematography is clear for more than half the movie. There were good use of transitions.	Fair Sound and presentation of cinematography is clear for half the movie. There were some use of transitions	Poor Sound and presentation of cinematography was not clear.
Creativity	Excellent IMOVIE shows creativity with music, images, sounds, acting etc. The movie is original and unique.	Good IMOVIE shows creativity with music, images, sounds, acting etc.	Fair IMOVIE has pieces of creativity, but is not original.	Poor IMOVIE lacked creativity.
