Retell the story	Below Expectations Student work does not present characters and themes of the story and/or is unrelated or entirely confusing.	Approaching Expectations Student work presents character and themes of the story, but lacks detail and is at times confusing.	Meets Expectations Student work presents characters and themes of the story in an understandable way.	Exceeds Expectations Student work clearly presents characters and themes of the story with excellent attention to detail.
Visual Aid(s)	Below Expectations Student work demonstrates no research, shallow perspective, and/or confuses the audience.	Approaching Expectations Student work demonstrates little research and/or thoughtfulness - shows the audience something they've seen before.	Meets Expectations Student work demonstrates research and/or thoughtfulness in design, highlighting individual gifts - meets the needs of the audience.	Exceeds Expectations Student work demonstrates thorough research, careful word choice, and/or unique design, highlighting individual gifts - shows the audience a new perspective.
Deportment	Below Expectations Presentation of self is careless, not neat, and has had no fore thought.
