Frequency of iPad use	1 Rarely/Never used.	2 Used once in a while, but not every week.	3 Used every week, but not every day.	4 iPads are used daily as an integral part of instruction.
Student Usage	1 Several students have used the iPads for learning or activities, but not all of the students.	2 All of the students have used the iPads at some point, but not always at the same time or some students just watch the others use them. - Minimal or no collaboration. - Assessment may or may not be in place.	3 All of the students have used the iPads independently or in small groups. All students may or may not have had a turn. - Some collaboration. -Some teacher and/or student assessment is evident.	4 All of the students have utilized the iPads in a 1:1 environment or sharing in small groups where every student has a turn. -Students collaborate regularly. Students self assess and peer assess and/or reflect on leaning.
Classroom Learning	1 The students are not using the iPads for standards based learning. - Used only for random projects. - Used for skill/drill practice that may or may not be tracked or aligned.	2 The students are using the iPads for some learning that is standards based. -Used mainly for drill and practice that is tracked. - Occasionally for projects that may or may not be aligned with standards.	3 The students are using the iPads for standards based learning. -Usage is not part of daily routines and procedures. -A variety of aligned learning projects and skill building are used at least weekly and tracked or assessed.	4 The students are using the iPads for all types of engaging, interactive standards based learning. -Students choose classroom tools independently. Communication, research, projects and assignments. Skill building and lessons are targeted and tracked.
Overall Value of iPads in Classroom	1 iPads have little to no value in the classroom.	2 iPads have value, but its value is limited because of some factor (teacher's iPad skills, lack of applications, student engagement, etc.).	3 iPads have substantial value in the classroom, the teacher enjoys utilizing iPads for instruction and students are excited to learn using them.	4 iPads are essential to this classroom. The teacher utilizes iPads on a consistent basis and if they were removed from this classroom, the learning environment would suffer greatly.
