Time Spent	Poor Student did not finish this project. Student made poor use of class time. Not much effort shown.	Fair Student did not stay on task. Student should have used more class time to do a better job. Used little effort to do well.	Good Student finished and Student used most of the time to do a good job. Made an effort to do well.	Excellent Student finished the drawing. Student used time wisely and made a sincere effort to do quality work.
Use of Space	Poor The mandala has too much white space and clearly needs more work.	Fair 50% of the mandala is filled with geometric shapes. The handshape needs to be bigger.	Good 75% of the mandala is filled with geometric shapes. The scale of the handshape should be a little bigger.	Excellent Close to 100% of the mandala is filled with geometric shapes. The hand is proportionate with the mandala.
Observation	Poor Little effort at attempting to draw the handshapes and filling in the mandala accurately.	Fair Some effort at attempting to draw the handshapes and mandala accurately. Neatness	Poor Poor, work is sloppy, little effort made to keep the erasure marks from showing and the lines are smudged.	Fair Some care was made to keep from having too many erasure marks and smudges.	Good Good care was used but in a few places there are some erasure marks or smudges.	Excellent Great care and drawing was done well with no erasure marks or smudges.
Color	Poor Student colored like shapes different colors and is not symmetrical.	Fair Students colored some like shapes the same color but is still not symmetrical.	Good Student colored most like shapes the same color but is still not symmetrical.	Excellent Excellent job coloring like shapes the same color and the mandala is symmetrical.
