Sanding Block Students will: -Create an Orthographic projection of the sanding block - Layout the blocks on wood with a pencil, & layout the screw holes. -Students will cut out blocks, and screw them together -Students will make the sanding block comfortable to use by breaking the edges. Communication Orthographic Projection	Level 4 Excellent line weights, professional detail, all extension lines line up with object lines. All detail included	Level 3 Good line weight, all detail required, this could be used easily to create the project, good use of the ruler.	Level 2 Some proper line weight, some detail missing, difficult but not impossible to use this plan to make the project, ruler use present but incomplete.	Level 1 Messy Line weight, lacking detail, would be difficult to use this plan to create the project. Minimal use of a ruler.
Application - fit and finish	Level 4 Excellent attention to detail all dimension precisely match the plans. The screws are laid out and drilled professionally, very soft and smooth broken edges created no fatigue in use.	Level 3 The project matches the plans in dimension, screws are in the right place, cuts are square, edges are soft and smooth and will not cause discomfort.	Level 2 The project matches most of the dimensions on the plans. One of the screws is off and not in the right place. Some of the edges are broken, some discomfort in use.	Level 1 The project only matches the plans in 1 or 2 dimensions. Screws are not in the right place, edges are not broken and could hurt your hands.
Thinking / Inquiry	Level 4 Was able to independently, and professionally solve problems with minimal teacher support. Can easily rationalize actions to solve problems. Is even capable of helping others solve problems.	Level 3 Able to solve problems on your own with minimal use of the teacher support. Was able to get back on track when solving problems. Was able to take advice and apply it to the project to improve results.	Level 2 Some success applying problem solving to errors. Some ability to stay on track when errors occur. Effective use of teacher and classmates to solve problems.	Level 1 Difficult applying self, still working towards getting back on track when errors occur. Should check in with the teacher more often. Could use classmates more effectively.
