Basic

Topic sentence introduces the topic but it either does not give accurate or complete information.

Writer has a clear beginning. Topic sentence creates interest and is fairly well developed. But while it covers the subject,
it is not very engaging.
Advanced

Very well developed topic sentence. It engages the reader and creates interest. It covers the writer's topic idea and includes how many reasons they will talk about.
Supporting Details

Minimal

Details are either wrong or lacking. The details do not fit the writer's topic. Has 0-1 detail sentences. There is no reason why for the 1 detail.
Basic

There are 2 details, but they are not clear, specific, and vivid. They may or may not include the why part.
Profiecient

The 3 details are clear and specific. They include partial reason why.
Advanced

There are 3 or more details in the paragraph that are clear and specific, and there are enough details. They all include reason why.
Conclusion Sentence

Minimal

There is no concluding sentence.
Basic

The concluding sentence relates somewhat of a conclusion that restates the topic sentence.
Profiecient

The concluding sentence restates in the topic sentence word for word.
Advanced

The concluding sentence is the last sentence of the paragraph. It is a clear statement that repeats key words from the topic sentence but it is not word for word.
Organization/Structure
