Point of View Creative Writing Assignment

Students will "assume" a different points of view. Students will create a short story, descriptive pieces of writing reflecting the point of view of an alternate character . 15 pts possible.

Fair Writing shows moderate detail and has some vivid description and creativity. Demonstrates a limited understanding of Point of View in the writing process.	Good Writing shows great detail and vivid description and creativity. Demonstrates a deep understanding of Point of View in the writing process.
Writing Approach	Poor Freytag’s pyramid elements were unorganized or non existent. Student included little of the criteria outlined in the assignment. Student only included 1form of dialogue between characters.	Fair Student followed most of Freytag’s pyramid when writing a story and included almost every element of an introduction, rising action, climax, falling action and solution. Student included most parts of the criteria outlined in the assignment. Student Included different dialogues between characters.	Good Student followed Freytag’s pyramid when writing a story and included introduction, rising action, climax, falling action and solution. Student included each part of the criteria outlined in the assignment. Student Included AT LEAST 3 different dialogues between characters.
