Introduction & Conclusion	Excellent Engages the audience, sets up and wraps up speech effectively.	Good Attempts to engage the audience, sets up and wraps up the speech satisfactorily.	Fair Fails to engage the audience, but sets up and wraps up speech.	Needs Work Not engaging, does not set up or wrap up speech.
Vocal	Excellent Student is loud and clear at all times.	Good Student is loud and clear most of the time.	Fair Some words are mispronounced or cannot be heard.	Needs Work Speaker was difficult to hear or understand.
Content	Excellent Interesting content that supports the topic throughout. All notecards are present.	Good Some interesting content that supports the topic throughout. Most of the notecards are present.	Fair Content occasionally wanders away from the topic. Some of the notecards are present.	Needs Work Content is barely related to the topic or is unclear. No notecards are present.
Nonverbal	Excellent Strong eye contact and strong posture.	Good Mostly strong eye contact and mostly good posture.	Fair Inconsistent eye contact or speaker rarely has good posture.	Needs Work Avoids eye contact or has bad posture.
