Your final value scale shows a steady change in value from light to dark. Each individual square demonstrates a consistent value throughout the square. You've very successfully demonstrated 10 values in this shading technique.
met expectations

Your final value scale shows a steady change in value from light to dark. Each individual square demonstrates a mostly consistent value throughout each square. You've successfully demonstrated at least 5/6 values of shading in this technique.
satisfactory

Your final value scale fails to demonstrate a mostly steady change in value from light to dark. You may have 1 or 2 squares that seem out of order. You've demonstrated at least 4/5 values of shading but could have done so more effectively in this technique.
Getting Better

Your final value scale fails to demonstrate a steady change in value from light to dark. You may have several squares that seem out of order. Individual squares fail to show a consistent value throughout the square. You have not demonstrated at least 4/5 values of shading in this technique.
needs improvement

Your final value scale fails to demonstrate a steady change in value from light to dark. You may have squares left unfinished. Individual squares fail to show at least 2/3 values of shading in this technique.
cross-hatching
