Isolation	Emerging Unable to identify/ name sounds at the beginning, middle, or end of words with at least 60% accuracy.	Partially Proficient Correctly identifies isolated sounds within words with at least 60% accuracy, but consistently struggles in one or more areas (ex: ending sounds).	Proficient Correctly identifies beginning, middle, and ending sounds of spoken words with 100% accuracy.	Advanced Correctly identifies beginning, middle, and ending sounds of spoken words with 100% accuracy. Able to teach skill to another scholar.
Deletion	Emerging Unable to orally delete phonemes from beginning, middle, or ends of words with at least 60% accuracy.
