Animal Report

Students are selecting an animal, researching and writing about their animal, and designing a project of their choosing. The project should tell about the animal's habitat, diet, what their animal looks like, any predators that their animals may have, and have a picture of their animal's food chain.

The Animal's Appearance	Does Not Meet Description of animal is inaccurate or does not give any important details.	Meets Gives a description of animal but leaves out a couple of important features. Picture is present but not labeled.	Exceeds Gives an good description of how the animal looks including any type of camouflage or physical characteristics, and has a detailed picture with important parts labeled.
The Animal's Diet	Does Not Meet Does not list any items that the animal eats.	Meets Lists one item that the animal eats.	Exceeds Lists two or more items that the animal eats.
The Animal's Habitat	Does Not Meet Gives little or no details about where the animal is found and includes very few facts about the animals habitiat.	Meets Gives some details about where the animal is found in the world,but only includes some facts about the animals habitat.	Exceeds Gives details about where in the world the animal is found, and tells many facts about it's habitat.
The Animal's Predators	Does Not Meet Gives few details about the animal's predators and any behavioral adaptations that the animal has to protect itself.
