Research Notes Research Notes These are notes for the research paper; they may be written on a piece of paper or on note cards. Each card must have the source's MLA citation, a direct reference or paraphrase, and a comment on the note. Independent Use of Class Time	Excellent Student was focused and working independently at all times.
