Fair Lack organization causes disruption in reading and mildly interfers with comprehension of the text.	Good Shows a well- planned narrative. Sequencing is apparent. Minimal use of time order words is present.	Excellent Shows a carefuully organized narrative. Sequence is apparent and time order words are used throughout the narrative.
Voice	Poor No personal experience is shared.	Fair May not connect with the idea of personal narrative, it is not clearly evident that the writer experienced the event.	Good It is an authentic piece of work in which it is evident that the writer experienced the events they are relaying to the reader.	Excellent It is orignal and there is a strong personal message which speaks to the reader. The audience has been taken into consideration.
Sentence Fluency	Poor Sentences are incomplete and incoherent, no knowledge of capitalization or punctuation is present.	Fair Sentences are understandable, but choopy and incomplete with minimal knowledge of capitalization and periods.	Good Sentences are easily understood. Knowledge of puncutation and capitalization is present.	Excellent Sentences are easily understood and mastery of capitalization and punctuation is present. Text reads smoothly with appropriate transitions.
