Student has chosen a topic that has some relevance to the TR staff, but may be slightly disconnected from practice. The topic may be timely but not applicable to setting or population, or may reflect slightly outdated concepts. TR staff can use aspects of the topic in their practice after the in-service.
Excellent

Student has chosen a topic that is timely, relevant and useful to TR staff. The topic reflects either a trend, best practice, current issue, facilitation technique, or modality that can be used by TR staff after attending the in-service.

Student created in-service using information gathered in research that is evidence-based. Student identifies resources of evidence or research during the presentation, and quote research when necessary.
Presentation style is effective

Poor

Student's presentation style was not effective for the material. Visual aids were inappropriate or not used. Information was not presented clearly and left many parts open for interpretation. Presentation was much too short or too long.
Fair

Student's presentation style was somewhat effective for the material presented. Visual aids were not as effective as they could be. Information is somewhat clear, but could be interpretive or unclear in parts. Presentation was slightly too short or too long.
Excellent

Student's presentation style and format is effective for the material presented. Visual aids are used to promote learning of new material. Information is presented in a clear and concise way. The presentation is the desired length, or within a few minutes of desired length.
Handout is useful to staff

No handout is made to accompany the presentation.

Handout outlines some of the information. It doesn't showcase creativity. Staff may or may not use it in the future.
