Weekly Vocabulary Word/Sentence Rubric 
Define, list part of speech, syllables and draw a meaningful picture for each vocabulary word. Write a sentence for each of the vocabulary words. All sentences must begin with a capital letter and have proper end punctuation. Start each sentence on a new line. Number all sentences. Underline the vocabulary word. Make sure you have a proper heading with the date at the top of your paper.

The vocabulary word has in parenthesis the correct part of speech.
Syllables

Demonstrates Strength

Each vocabulary word is correctly broken into syllables.
Spelling

Demonstrates Strength

All words used, the vocabulary word, definitions and sentence, are spelled correctly.
Creativity

Demonstrates Strength

The vocabulary classwork shows scholarly thought, creativity, and depth in meaning and interpretation.
