Reading Work Stations

Students will be assessed based on performance of work stations for reading small groups.

	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Research Station	Poor Student did little to no research during station time.	Fair Student did some research durig station time.	Good Student completed most of the required research during station time.	Excellent Student did an excellent job researching the required material.
Word Work Station	Poor Student did 1 of the 4 required word work requirements for the week.	Fair Student did 2 of the required word work requirements for the week.	Good Student did 3 of the required word work requirements for the week.	Excellent Student did all the required word wrok requirements for the week.
Reading Station	Poor Student was unfocussed during the reading station.	Fair Student read, but was off task much of the time.	Good Student rarely was off task and read a sufficient amount.	Excellent Student stayed on task while reading during station time.
Listening Station	Poor Student was of task during this work station and completed little to no work.	Fair Student listened to some of the media text and did some of the response sheet.	Good Student listened to the media text and did most of the response sheets.	Excellent Student listened and responded appropriately and completed all the necassary response sheets.
Writing Station	Poor Student did not write during the station.	Fair Student wrote some material during station time.	Good Student stayed on task and wrote an appropriate amount for the week.	Excellent Student wrote extensively for the week and was on task and focussed.
Guided Reading	Poor Student did little to participate during Guided Reading.	Fair Student participated for the most part during Guided Reading.	Good Student was told to stay task and participated during Guided Reading.	Excellent Student was on task during the entire station time and participated at a high level.
Transition/behavior	Poor Student had questionable transition and inappropriate behavior during station rotations.	Fair Student had slow transition and was inappropriate sme of the time.	Good Student had fairly quick transition and was appropriate during station rotation.	Excellent Student had excellent transition and displyed appropriate behavior during the entire week.
