(Including gesture, eye contact, tone, volume, timing and word choice)	Poor Student is unable to demonstrate the ability to initiate appropriate interactions with peers. Student requires consistent adult modeling and support	Minimal Student is unable to demonstrate the ability to initiate appropriate interactions with peers independently. Student requires adult modeling and support most of the time.	Fair Student sometimes exhibits the ability to initiate an appropriate interaction with peers Student requires adult modeling and support approximately half of the time.	Good Student often demonstrates the ability to initiate an appropriate interaction with peers Student requires occasional adult modeling and support.	Excellent Student demonstrates the ability initiate an appropriate interaction (including eye contact, tone, volume, gestures, proximity). Student does this independently without requiring adult modeling or support.
