Completion, Organization & Effort	SENSACIONAL Writer exceeds or fulfills the requirements by writing fully detailed sentences in the target language and has put care and effort into the process. Paragraphs are organized and topic is discussed thoroughly.	BRAVO Writer included somewhat detailed sentences. Writing is generally logical. Most information on topic included.	BIEN Writer has included some or a few detailed sentences, leaving out key components of the writing prompt. Paragraphs are somewhat unorganized.	POBRE Paragraphs are very unorganized. There is little or no flow. Incomplete coverage of topic.
Comprehensibility	SENSACIONAL Reader can always understand what the writer is trying to communicate. Spanish vocabulary and idioms are used correctly. No interpretation on part of reader is necessary.	BRAVO Reader can understand most of what the writer is trying to communicate. Mostly correct use of Spanish vocabulary and idioms. Minimal interpretation on the part of reader is required.	BIEN Reader can understand less than half of what writer is trying to communicate and must rely on interpretation. Incorrect use of vocabulary and idioms.	POBRE Multiple errors in vocabulary/idiom usage. Incomprehensible throughout writing.
General Accuracy	SENSACIONAL Writer stays in target language throughout and uses correct word order, spelling and punctuation.	BRAVO Writer usually uses correct word order, spelling and punctuation.	BIEN Writer makes frequent mistakes with word order, spelling and punctuation.	POBRE Writer consistently makes errors with word order, spelling and punctuation.
Subject / Verb Agreement	SENSACIONAL There are NO errors in subject / verb agreement.	BRAVO There are 1 or 2 errors in subject / verb agreement.	BIEN Writer makes 3 or more mistakes in subject / verb agreement.	POBRE Writer makes repeated errors and displays little/no understanding of subject / verb grammar rules.
