	Fair Needs more work in this area. 1 pts	Good Demonstrates most of the time, but not consistently. 2 pts	Excellent Demonstrates throughout. 3 pts
Spelling	Fair Does not demonstrate correct spelling of sight words, words following basic spelling rules.	Good Demonstrates correct spelling of most sight words, words following basic spelling rules.	Excellent Demonstrates correct spelling of sight words, words following basic spelling rules.
Punctuation	Fair Little or no punctuation in writing, or is misused.	Good Some punctuation, but not all, some misuse of punctuation.	Excellent Punctuation is present and used correctly throughout writing.
Capitalization	Fair No words that should be capitalized , or very few that should be capitalized, are.	Good Most words that should be capitalized are capitalized, but not all.	Excellent Capitalization is present throughout writing in appropriate places.
Directions	Fair Followed some directions and/or turned assignment in late.	Good Followed most of the directions and turned in on time.	Excellent Followed all directions given and turned in on time.
Waiting	Fair Interrupted someone, or budged their words, to ask a question.	Good Started to interrupt someone, but was able to stop and wait for a better time to ask a question. Review	Fair I know this is not my best work and I was just doing it to get it done and over with. I am not proud of my work today.
