Meaning and Originality	Exceeding Standards My poem is creative and original. It is clear I put thought into my word choice and uniquely shows my ideas and emotions.	Meeting Standards My poem is thoughtful and creative. A couple of phrases or ideas may be in need of editing, but the overall product is carefully written.	Approaching Standards Most of the poem is creative, but I rushed. This is evident in my repetition of ideas or use of cliches.	Below Standards My poems appear to be thoughtless or rushed. Work is very repetitive, and ideas are unoriginal/plagiarized.
Sensory Details	Exceeding Standards I used vivid metaphors, detailed imagery or other figurative devices that created intense emotion making the poem come alive.
